George Green Jr., known to many as Junior Tha Artist Barber, was born in Rochester, New York, and shaped by the realities of an environment where opportunity wasn’t always within reach. After serving multiple prison terms in his youth, George made a life-altering decision in 2001: to rebuild himself from the inside out. That choice began a journey that led him to become a NYS and California Certified Master Barber, a business owner, mentor, community builder, and advocate for transformational thinking.

For nearly two decades, he operated successful barbershops, co-founded the Men of Excellence program at Monroe Community College, completed extensive vocational certifications, and developed a reputation rooted in consistency, leadership, and social responsibility. His annual toy drives, community partnerships, and commitment to helping others earned him a nomination for the People’s Choice Award in 2027.

When the 2019 pandemic forced the closure of his barbershop, George faced a turning point that birthed Pandemic Proof. Today, he uses his story and the tools that saved him to empower readers to build financial strength, prepare for crisis, and rise with dignity and purpose.
